Meet Dr. Louis Hyde
Dr. Louis Hyde
A native of Morristown, Dr. Louis Hyde joined his father’s practice in 2005. Dr. Hyde received his Bachelor’s degree from Carson Newman in 2001 and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in 2005.
Dr. Louis Hyde is dedicated to his patients and preserving their vision throughout life. He keeps up with new research and applies it to his practice daily. At the Southern College of Optometry, he served as the student body president and served on the board of directors. Dr. Hyde is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and former president of Smokey Mountain Optometric Physicians, where he is still an active member. In the community, Dr. Hyde is chairman of the Lakeway Chapter Ducks Unlimited. He received his Eagle Scout rank from troop 91 where he continues to serve on the Board of Review.
Dr. Hyde and his wife, Melissa, are active members at Arrowhead Church in Morristown. They have two adorable daughters and one son. His hobbies include traveling with his family, duck hunting, and developing the Hyde Eyecare team.
